Recruiting – The Future Is NOW!

The changes in our way of “finding a job” and “finding a recruiter” are happening quickly.  Having been a recruiter for all these years, one thing recruiters must be today,  is adaptable.  Options are Social media job searchmany for recruiters today, but knowing which options are best and will grow with the changing environment, make it hard to commit.

Networking has always been a vital part of recruiting, but we are networking and conducting business much different today.  I follow the trends in recruiting and have been researching different options available.  Over the past few years, I have found that there are as many different software recruiting programs, job boards and HR Management Systems as there are recruiters.

Recruiting in 2021 and beyond is not the same as it was only five years ago. As people become more conscious of their surroundings, they become clearer in their directions for their future. There is so much talent and creative thought, that employers are beginning to understand the importance of nurturing the skills their employees posses.

Job descriptions are becoming a bit more flexible, and we realize there are many soft talents that we have not always seen as added value to the people we were hiring. We will see more upskilling and diverse training as we move through these processes and find out what works and what doesn’t work.

Adaptability is a soft skill that recruiters will find very helpful as we move through these changes. Stay open-minded about new ideas, listen to others and their solutions, and find ways to work together to make the experience a positive one when working with clients and candidates.
